Resident doctors under the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) have commenced an indefinite strike starting Monday, following unresolved negotiations with the government.
The announcement was made in a communiqué released by the Association of Resident Doctors, FCT chapter (ARD-FCT), and jointly signed by its President, Dr. George Ebong, and General Secretary, Dr. Agbor Affiong.
Despite previous engagements, the doctors say the FCTA has taken no concrete steps to address their grievances. The association has vowed to continue the strike until its issues are satisfactorily resolved. Further updates are expected in the coming days.
