OLOGBO, EDO STATE — Edo’s Commissioner for Power, Paul Usenbo, says the planned 100MW CCETC power plant is targeting commissioning in December 2026.

During an inspection in Ologbo, Ikpoba-Okha, on Tuesday, 13 October 2026, Usenbo said technical and regulatory requirements were being monitored. CCETC marketing manager Eric Ju said 46MW of generating capacity had been installed and the company aimed to start electricity supply before the end of 2026.

Installed capacity does not confirm operational electricity supply. The commissioning date remains a government and developer target.
