NASS Postpones Resumption of Plenary to May 6 for Workers’ Day Activities

The National Assembly has shifted the resumption date for plenary sessions from Tuesday, April 29, 2025, to Tuesday, May 6, 2025, allowing lawmakers to participate in the upcoming Workers’ Day celebrations and attend to constituency matters.

This was disclosed in a notice issued by the Clerk of the National Assembly, Kamoru Ogunlana, and sent to both senators and members of the House of Representatives.

“I am directed to inform Distinguished Senators, Honourable Members, and the general public that the two Houses of the National Assembly have extended the date for the resumption of plenary sessions… This extension allows them to participate in the Workers’ Day ceremony and attend to other engagements in their constituencies,” the statement read.

The Clerk apologized for any inconvenience caused by the change and appreciated the public’s understanding.
