Residents of Ogheghe, Charismatic Road Laud Monday Okpebholo Over Ongoing Road Construction

Residents of Ogheghe and Charismatic Road, off Ekenhuan Road in Benin City, have commended Monday Okpebholo for his commitment to infrastructure development across Edo State.

The residents expressed appreciation for the ongoing road construction in their community, describing it as a long-overdue intervention after years of neglect.

One resident, Osas Uyi, explained that the previously deplorable condition of the road caused persistent hardship, especially during the rainy season when erosion, flooding, and deep potholes made movement almost impossible.

Other residents noted that commercial drivers often avoided the route because of its poor condition, forcing them to trek long distances to access transportation. They also lamented that businesses in the area suffered major setbacks, as customers found it difficult to reach shops and offices.

Shop owners along Charismatic Road said the ongoing construction project by the Edo State Government has already restored confidence among residents and potential investors. They expressed optimism that upon completion, the road will boost economic activities and improve security within the neighborhood.

A trader, Mama Peace, who sells roasted plantain at the Charismatic Junction off Ekenhuan Road, advised contractors to maintain high standards and deliver quality work within the stipulated timeframe. She also reaffirmed the community’s support for the governor’s development agenda.

The residents described the road project as clear evidence of Governor Okpebholo’s dedication to grassroots development and improved living conditions for the people of Edo State.
